Jivan
Ajay is an experienced senior manager in human resource management with board, policy, and strategic levels of experience. His expertise is in building and unleashing the leadership, talent, and learning potential within organisations to meet their purpose and performance objectives. He has a track record of programme and project management across functional teams; in academic teaching and learning management in organisations; in research, evidence-based practice, and analytics; and in developing thought leadership and navigating the complexities of the new world of work. He achieved a PhD at the Wits Business School and is a registered Chartered Fellow with CIPD (UK HR professional body), Master HR Professional with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP), and registered Clinical Psychologist with the HPCSA. He has and continues to hold industry and academic roles.

HR professional body publications
Co-facilitated and co-authored the second edition of the National HRM Standards with Dr Penny Abbott launched on 06 September 2023 by the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP), the HR professional body in South Africa. The second edition of the Standards is renamed as the SABPP People Practices and Governance Standard (PPGS) given the evolving world of work and the changing terminology and function of HR within organisations.
